My Day Off

Today I wanted to remind everyone of the horrors that humankind continuously inflicts on the planet, and each other:

We destroy the land with radioactivity, we deforest, we suck oil out of the land, we clear huge plots of land for shopping malls that will fail in our next economic crisis, and we slaughter every living thing that gets in our way. We gobble up delicious poisons devoid of nutrition, we dilute the intelligence and ability of our own children, we demand results with unpredictable outcomes, and then selfishly point fingers at others free ourselves from blame. We tacitly comply with systems of greed designed solely to rid us of our wealth and confidence. We divide, destroy, conquer, consume, and correct, all in vain. Ultimately we think that we can cut corners to avoid the natural course of all things, and we pay dearly for it.

If the world cannot learn harmony, then it will learn suffering.

Charlie Chaplin - 1940 The most inspirational speech ever.

'' I'm sorry but I don't want to be an Emperor -- that's not my business -- I don't want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone if possible, Jew, gentile, black man, white. We all want to help one another, human beings are like that.
We all want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery. We don't want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone and the earth is rich and can provide for everyone.

The way of life can be free and beautiful.

But we have lost the way.

Greed has poisoned men's souls -- has barricaded the world with hate; has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed.

We have developed speed but we have shut ourselves in: machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical, our cleverness hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little: More than machinery we need humanity; More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.

The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men, cries out for universal brotherhood for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world, millions of despairing men, women and little children, victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. To those who can hear me I say "Do not despair".

The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress: the hate of men will pass and dictators die and the power they took from the people, will return to the people and so long as men die [now] liberty will never perish...

Soldiers -- don't give yourselves to brutes, men who despise you and enslave you -- who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel, who drill you, diet you, treat you as cattle, as cannon fodder.

Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men, machine men, with machine minds and machine hearts. You are not machines. You are not cattle. You are men. You have the love of humanity in your hearts. You don't hate -- only the unloved hate. Only the unloved and the unnatural. Soldiers -- don't fight for slavery, fight for liberty.

In the seventeenth chapter of Saint Luke it is written " the kingdom of God is within man " -- not one man, nor a group of men -- but in all men -- in you, the people.

You the people have the power, the power to create machines, the power to create happiness. You the people have the power to make life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of democracy let's use that power -- let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world, a decent world that will give men a chance to work, that will give you the future and old age and security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power, but they lie. They do not fulfil their promise, they never will. Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people. Now let us fight to fulfil that promise. Let us fight to free the world, to do away with national barriers, do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men's happiness.

Soldiers -- in the name of democracy, let us all unite!''

Valhalla (The Blood of Fenrir)

It is day twenty-eight of my hunting trek. My name is Torec Ulvarsson. Long have my father and his father lived in the mountains over Skiirsgaarde. I have slain two deer and snared four rabbits. I've seen multiple tracks and frozen droppings of what I believe to be a great wolf. I retraced my steps back to a small encampment two days north of Skiirsgaarde to store my bounty. I have brought slates to inscribe my pursuit of the beast, for I may not survive the attempt. Twice, evidence of it in this place has appeared. My location: Two days north of Skiirsgaarde is the encampment. Another day east are hot springs running southeast underneath dense forest. From here turn south, into a deep valley. There is no sign that any man has ever been here.

It is day thirty-five of my hunting trek. Seven days have passed since I found evidence of the direwolf. There are many caves along the western side of the valley, and most could house several men. I have found coarse white fur in the rocks, and small traces of drag marks in the snow. Snow falls fiercely each night. There are few deer here. The valley is very empty aside from trees.

It is day thirty-seven of my hunting trek. I have seen the beasts! Three of them wandered over the hills half a day to the south of the caves. I saw them from a high place from across a short canyon. By the trees beside them, I could see that they were close in size to a horse! I fear that these great wolves bear the blood of Fenrir himself. By the time I reached the place, they were gone in the bright snow. It was good fortune that I saw them from distance downwind.

It is day thirty-nine of my hunting trek. There are no traces of the group I saw two days ago. They are swifter than anticipated. I have followed the clear trail of a single monstrous beast. When I first spotted him, I am sure he also saw me. With struggle I stayed downwind of the beast as it moved among the rocks in the south-east of the valley. I have prayed to Skadi, and to Odin for admittance into the Great Hall. I will likely not survive any encounter with the beast, but I will stalk him until my end.

It is day forty-one of my hunting trek. I stumbled into the beast as I entered a small clearing beneath a hill. He stared down at me from the hill. Oh, what feral eyes! He snarled as I readied my bow, but I was too slow for his charge. I was quick to dive under his first bite, and wrestled with his foreleg. I broke its knee, but was slashed by its claws along my side. While tumbling to pin the beast, I kicked at its head, but only agitated him to bite at my foot. I was flung from the beast as I tried to wound its other foreleg. Before I could regain my footing its teeth were in my shoulder, and my whole left arm was torn from me. Weakly, my remaining fingers found my dagger, and in our continuous grapple I buried it deep in the beast's belly. With twitching throes, he wounded me again with his teeth on my leg before falling still. I cauterized my severed shoulder, and the gashes on my side. It took me a full day to drag myself back to the caves. I will not likely last the night. My exhaustion is too great. I am too cold. The beast is slain. Odin will welcome me.

Valhalla (The Spears of the Romans)

Vulm turned his head sharply, for he had just realized that he had been paying no attention to what Felmi was saying. So he simply cocked an eyebrow, betraying none of the shock he felt upon returning to reality. Then he noted that Felmi was probably just bragging, for he appeared to expect no answer. Vulm admired the trio of human skulls hung from Felmi's belt, proof of his accomplishments in battle.

Vulm continued dragging a whetstone alone the edge of his sword. He had taken it from the hands of a man he had beaten to death with a large stone. There was no dishonor in the kill, for it was during his first battle. He had dropped his cracked long ax for a more direct weapon. That day had gifted Vulm with many kills, and passage into the great hall of the gods. He was off in his head again, he realized, but he did not care. Felmi had finally shut up and was staring into the fire.

Vulm felt hope rise in his chest that this was the morning of his next triumph. He knew he would be greeted as a champion in the afterlife, but he still did not want to die. After all, no one could truthfully promise beautiful women and the stoutest drinks in the afterlife for sure. Nobody had come back to tell stories. He supposed he could live without either, so long as he still held his sword. He sheathed it slowly, to hear the grate of metal on metal, and set the whetstone aside.

There was a shout in the darkness, followed by the familiar sounds of weapons finding flesh. Cries of pain went up to the sky; then cries of alarm. The sounds multiplied among the trees. It was an attack. Immediately Vulm and Felmi were on their feet. A spear flew from the blackness, and impaled Felmi through the chest. Felmi fell. Without pause, Vulm drew the spear from it's grisly sheathe, saw that Felmi still tightly gripped his handaxe, and sprinted into the darkness from where the spear had flown.

As he plunged into the night, his eyes adjusted from the fire. He saw several dead kinsmen, and several more still clinging together to fend off a host of horsemen. Romans. A horseman lagging behind the assault saw Vulm, and came directly at him. Vulm planted his feet, and readied himself, drawing a small throwing ax from his belt. As the rider neared, he loosed the small ax, and it plunged into the horseman's right shoulder, just underneath the armor. This gave Vulm time to dodge to the other side of the horse, and bury the spear under the man's jaw. The horse carried the corpse past Vulm's field of vision, as four more horsemen entered the clearing from his right. Only one of his kinsmen still stood against a dozen Romans, and Vulm had no time to close distance to him, for two horsemen broke from the assault to charge at him. Vulm was outnumbered, and he could certainly not outrun the horses. The Romans spared few. Vulm did the only thing he could, and charged at the two horsemen.  As he reached for his sword, Vulm felt his entire body go numb. It was adrenaline, he knew, and he shook off the shock from the spear now lodged firmly in his belly.

Vulm roared, pulling the spear from his gut. He felt his bodily pressure change as blood and entrails exited his body in a spurt. The Roman weapon hit the hard earth with a solid clunk. He had just enough time to hurl the spear still in his hand, and draw his sword. The spear missed entirely, but Vulm did not care. He fell onto his stomach, tasting the dirt as the two horsemen came to a halt beside him. He heard heavy feet striking ground, and the slick ringing of a sword being drawn. Vulm felt the sword enter his heart like winter in his chest. At least, he thought, he still held his own sword. The gods would welcome him. He was sure of it.

You're caught up in so many simple distractions,
All of which you can't use to justify actions.
You're blind in a world built solely for seeing,
So shut off your lenses and focus on being.

There's a part in the core of every human mind,
That some spend their whole lives trying to find.
A place of solace in the purpose of self,
Like a dusty old tome on a library shelf.

The story is riveting, the characters are deep,
But back on the surface those aren't the values we keep.
What you see as a fantasy is actually true,
And the truth here is, that you don't have a clue.

That hole in your heart is hard-wired in,
So that you will struggle with a life full of sin.
For struggle defines the person you are,
And sinning is nature, setting the bar.

That hole in your heart is impossible to bind,
So you bleed your whole life while trying to find,
That which you think can make you complete,
But while scouring the surface, you'll find only defeat.

The hole in your heart can never be filled,
With animal urges or the empires you build.
That spot is reserved for the things you can't see,
Having values beyond an open mind is key.

I say these things now with only one hope:
Learn from my words, and start up the slope.
Be set on your path and keep looking back,
Get a birds-eye view so that you can keep track.

I ultimately know I can't force you to grow,
And that, for eternity, will torture me so.
For the only thing I think can dull the pain in my heart,
Is to spread this message through the medium of art.

The Pillars of Matthew Keegan Coale

What I am about to share with you is sacred to me. These are the five rules that I do my best to live by, and I yearn to teach others that they might be moved to better themselves. This set of simple rules encapsulates growth of the human mind and spirit, and is always subject to changes as I too grow and learn. I beg you to memorize these five pillars that make me who I am, that you might find some truth in them.

ONE: Know Thyself, at all costs. Without knowledge of yourself, you cannot make crucial decisions for yourself. This knowledge includes everything from genetics, personality, and physical capability, to preferences, behaviors, and separation of wants and needs. Knowing these things is important to who you want to be, and what your path in life is. By knowing yourself, you can also find fulfillment, and therefore the joy of helping to fulfill others.

TWO: Live by the three BIG Sins. There are only three sins in this mortal realm, and they are Boredom, Ignorance, and Greed. Why are these sins? Because they are the only three things that prevent life's purpose. (That's right, the meaning of life is simple: Because humankind cannot reach their maximum potential at this time, and your lifespan is short, the purpose of your life should be to create progress. This means being Christ-like, immaterial, and loving of all those around you, as you'll see reflected in these rules. This means sharing yourself without asking anything in return.) Now, I know I touched on the three BIG sins before, but it was long ago, so let me reiterate. These three sins encapsulate what it is to be animal, not human, and must be addressed with care, for your brain may not identify your actions with these motives. Almost every malicious act can be derived from these three sins. Lust is a form of primal greed, for example. Denying these sins is comparable to the noble eight-fold path taught in Buddhism, to rid the mind of unneeded desires. While you cannot possibly live purely apart from these sins, you can at least be aware of them, and perhaps prevent some harm done by them. If you think ahead, this rule also implies that you should always be honest. Honesty is a rarely mastered virtue.

THREE: Make Savage the Body and Civilize the Mind. Literally, never stop working to better yourself. If you do not better yourself, you are denying what it is to be human. Bettering yourself goes hand in hand with why these rules exist, namely, to better oneself. Bettering yourself is the first step toward helping others do the same. (You cannot truly change someone, only show them that they can change. Lead by example.) Science has proven that many ancient forms of discipline created to balance to body, mind, and spirit are not only truthful, but accurate. Find a discipline, that someday you might have disciples. Training one aspect of yourself helps to hone the others.

FOUR: Bitches be Trippin'. Okay, it can be phrased a multitude of ways. This is simply the way that most can easily remember it, as it is often the most quoted rule. What it means is that people fuck up. All people walk different paths; it is not your place to judge where they must walk. Learn to forgive, that when you are errant in your ways you might be forgiven. This is reminiscent of a part of the lord's prayer, as you may have noticed. Someday you may find yourself in need of forgiveness, simply due to a moment of weakness. People fuck up. Deal with it.

FIVE: Communication is Key. Without expression, we are simply plants. Flowers or trees we may be, beautiful to perceive, but with silence comes solitude. How many leaves have taught you applicable lessons? Without communication, problems are not solved, or can even go unknown. Learn to speak what you need, know, want, and feel, because without voicing these things, nobody learns from your experiences. Communication allows for humankind to chronicle history, create art, and solve every kind of problem. Originally, this rule was phrased: If you don't tell me there's a problem, it's not my problem. Honesty is also implied. Always be honest, unless you must protect another's well being. Without being truly honest, you are not allowing your communication to contain the information needed to do what it is intended for. Question everything, preferably, aloud.

With these rules, you may find some answers to bigger picture questions. These are, in essence, the pieces of truth I have stumbled across on my path, and I pray you utilize them. If you have ANY questions, arguments, or speculations, PLEASE state them. I am always happy discuss whatever it is you grow concern for. Ask and ye shall receive.

P.S. Disregard the angry rants of 19 year old me also posted on this blog. It was an odd path from then to now. My passion outweighed my logic.

The Three B.I.G. Sins

The world is a fucked up place kids. It is, at the core, a chaotic storm of misinformation and sexual frustration, compacted into microbial units that invade like a virus and warp the environment around people more than Al Gore could ever hope to. One of the top listed reasons for my general hatred of the human race is that everyone has their own personal set of rules and taboos. Some of them even have their own personal sets of chopsticks even though they rarely eat Asian food, and that is a crime in and of itself... Anyways, I feel that too many people are close-minded to the fact that they can't expect everyone else to follow their rules. Unfortunately many of these personal rules have made it into the public as taboos, and worse, as laws. Although many of the ten commandments aren't actual laws, religion does hold a large influence over what stays and what goes. Abortion gets a lot of attention this way. As does homosexuality. And sometimes a little bit with the marijuana. Now, before you think this post is just me judging all these poor cowardly people, let me assure you that I am making a point. Although I can't help myself sometimes. What I've prepared to hash out on the draft page for you tonight is the three great sins. Or as I call them, the three BIG sins. All crimes and behaviors can be traced back to these three character flaws, and before I state them, I should indeed say that everyone is equally guilty on all counts. These things happen because it is nature to do these things, although not necessary nor correct by any means.

Numbah One: Boredom. You see? Everyone's guilty of this one. As a kid, and certainly an adult, this sin is often associated with whining and restlessness. Sometimes parading around the house just to let everyone else know how you're feeling. You know it well, for boredom invades in the times when you should be doing something and you want to be doing something else. There really isn't an excuse for this kind of apathy, because in today's world, information is at the fingertips. You could be doing something you haven't done for every second of your life and still have more to do than you've done upon your death! For all the things you haven't learned, why not indulge your inner curiosity? Have you learned to juggle yet? How about a new language? Maybe pick up a book on carpentry. Try clearing your chakras or para sailing. How many times in your adult life have you colored with crayons? Oh, hey, go learn how many species of birds there are. Why not buy a train model? There really isn't a reason to be bored. Do not, however, confuse boredom with sloth, one of the deadly sins that earns you a spot in hell. Sloth is an entire mindset away from boredom, and usually it can be pinned on poor mental health, often uncontrollable by the lazy fuck. And although work ethic is a strong value in today's society, doing nothing, isn't always unhealthy for you. How many times have you sat and cleared your head? Seriously, defrag a little bit. Get over a character flaw or let your brain take a few hours off. Sleep doesn't count. Sitting and doing nothing externally is a long standing tradition of many many religions!

Numbah Two: Ignorance. Ignorance is the next BIG sin on my list because it hurts people. Ignorance, in my opinion is cowardly. Again, with information at the fingertips, there's really no reason for this kind of idiocy to occur. People don't seem to grasp in all sorts of debates, whether it be from political to medical to religious, that there is always more to know. All facts can be checked, ( a new and riveting feature of the internet unbeknownst to quite a few top notch arguers!) and therefore no information should be wrong. Unfortunately you do have folks who couple ignorance with selective apathy. People who ignore information that is not relevant to their opinion. Luckily, this BIG sin goes hand in hand with number one. Boredom and Ignorance can cure each other! When reaching for the cure to one, you often alleviate the other! This is why I proactively read books and articles on anything that peaks my interest, whether it is gone the next day or not. Do I still pick up my books on origami? Fuck no, but it served a useful purpose at the time, and if saving the world ever involves making a paper swan, I am your savior. Also, the best way to fight ignorance is to not be ignorant. The more you know, the more you can educate your friends, family, coworkers, or any other self-righteous fact-basher that comes along. Of course, there's no way to actually force them to apply whatever it is to their database, but it's worth a shot.

Numbah Three: Greed. Greed is easily the most committed and most hurtful of the three BIG sins. Greed doesn't just hurt your head like ignorance does; Greed can affect millions. Take the United Corporations of America for example. Or better yet, Bernie Madoff... Now Greed is a driving force in nature, to actively stockpile food and valuables, but in today's world, people should be a little more evolved and learn to subdue these kinds of community-draining animal behaviors. I understand the needs of a household and a family, but Lamborghinis and Malibu 8-bedroom mansions are just plain greedy. Yes, I'd like to have nice things, but a little bit goes a long way. 200k will net you a fine home and a stunning vehicle, and there are plenty of other deserving people. On a patriotic scale, and even a global scale, greed prolongs the suffering of billions. Why the fuck did we go back into space when half the world is starving to death? Why the fuck do we pay millions of continuous tax dollars and we don't have a cure for AIDs or Cancer yet? (There's no money in a cure, only in the treatment.) Greed killed JFK. Greed is why more than half of all homeless are war veterans. Greed still tricks money out of good people in the name of religion. Greed drives most, if not all, of our political campaigns with hordes of dirty money. Greed forces us into unwinnable wars in the desert because someone killed the electric car.... Coupled with apathy, Greed can cause devastation on a scale that beats human progression's legs out from under it. In fact, any character flaw coupled with Greed can cause any number of inappropriate and mind-bending behavioral misfirings. Ultimately, Greed is the only sin I cannot empathize with. Sure I've take a snickers bar here or kept an extra dollar there, but that's selfishness. Greed is the consuming need to dominate through anything other than physical strength, plus the lust for things you don't rightly deserve.

All three of these BIG sins can be told as the cause as any number of other sins. Murders, thefts, rapes, etc. all must have motive. You can't always punish a man for his crimes unless you know why he did it! Of course, none of these behaviors will draw to an extinction as long as mankind still lives, but we can dream. Utopian societies are often what drift through my mind when I sit and do nothing, and I have bad news. Most of them are communist. Zing.

Sexting: A Poem for the Mood

It begins as subtle aching.
fingers scuttle, raking.
moist mouths salivate,
when kisses don't quite sate.
touch alone can drive
every nerve alive,
to shocking taste
with mocking haste,
and rocking motions thrive.
who ever knew that clothes
could be such brutal foes
when everything is shaking
anticipation breaking
At last then, we're there,
when everything is bare.
inwardly we grin
hearts dancing to begin
hateful muscles tremble
lust and blood assemble
there's an underlying moment
where complying is too cogent
savagely we fall
into natures call
all hips and lips and breasts
those tips and grips and crests
in simple innuendo
just to watch crescendo
gripping thighs and grasping skin
stifling cries in gasping sin
then your stormy eyes roll
and threaten all control
I let all hold buck free,
when you whisper "fuck me".

The MMORPG: A Dissection of Endgame

1972: Pong smashes its way into the hearts of the up and coming digital age. It is the first of its kind: A video game. It began as a simple single-user interface. Man on computer. A battle of reflexes. It laid the groundwork for some serious new levels of competitive gameplay.
1998: Over several years, electronic experts and dreaming young visionaries congeal to form Atari's competitors: Nintendo, Namco, Taito, Konami, and even Sony. Soon young students are crowded around frenzied Dance Dance Revolution players and shouting target priorities at each other while reloading huge plastic virtual shooter guns.

Through all of gaming history, most of us can agree that most of the instant classics and time-proven favorites are exclusively single player and, as they evolved, two player co-op. It was all about Mario Bros. and Zelda. If you look closely at the rigid history of video games, it's the people that first used them as a means of competition. While it initially began as competition against the computer-driven adversary, most players only did it to leave behind that iconic three letter signature on a high score screen. Even though words like Epeen weren't floating through the easily conquered teenage vocabulary palette, the seeds had already been planted.
Now, in the age of e-gamer society and massive annual competitions, we see titles like Starcraft and Halo reaching immortal heights in the hearts of their respective fans. These types of games focus heavily on multiplayer battles, and they've been the pioneers in a new wave of strict e-gaming societies. I personally attribute the rise of competitive gaming to two things. One is that logically, after game developers have mastered game content and mechanics, they try pitting those mechanics against themselves. Everyone wants to play their favorite single player game at parties, right? The other half is the demand generated by the insecurities of the generation. It's much the same principle of bullying. People don't just want to win games, they want their victories flaunted over those who can't produce similar results. If you're good at something, why not be worshiped for it?

So why do I bring all this competitive spirit to question? Well because I feel it blinds most of the people playing games, specifically in MMOs. Competition is literally your only option during endgame. While PvP is obvious, PvE may need to be explained to those who haven't yet pulled back the mask of what PvE entails.
Once you've hit the level cap, and you've learned your class,(note the two are very separate things), it becomes a spreadsheet. Once you establish numbers, you do nothing but relentlessly smash your number against other players' numbers. Usually you can find a guild which is interested in the numbers you can produce. PvE is basically number-crunching; you calculate gear, stats, DPS, and rotations into the absolute maximum amount of output you can possible manage. Then, you use that raw output to score new batches of numbers, which you then use to manage that output further. In WoW, reforging takes prioritizing stats and minmaxxing to a whole new level. There are those players who 'raid for the content', but they aren't immune to the spreadsheet either. You have to spreadsheet to play endgame PvE.
The worst part of the spreadsheet endgame is that the graphics, the tidy mechanics, and the acute attention to details put into the game, are all ignored, and people tunnel-vision on securing their place among the gods. This also tends to cause huge rivalries and hostilities among people fighting the same bosses. This would be a good time to use the endless gearscore flamewars as a prime example. Or maybe the thousands of judgments made aloud based on arena team ratings. Don't forget the smugness of the players who use a mod you don't. Oh and how many times have you been kicked from a group because you were doing the fights correctly? The spreadsheet separates those who should be working together, and it devastates the social lives of many a player. PvE should always be about content first, gear later. So why not play a solo game? Well adding more players makes a game more interesting. Who doesn't want to form a party and take down big bosses? Arguably, adding players to a game scenario will always encourage competition, but there is a line to be drawn to prevent optimizing a number output to qualify for endgame. Only in retrospect do many players realize that they were watching their DPS meters more intently than the boss' next incoming spell, or where they're supposed to stack up. Plus, wit mods to do the little things for them, player get to focus more on competing amongst peers.
So while MMOs can be engaging and dramatic, endgame becomes a hard knock hassle. Sometimes once you lay it out you can see a lot more than while logged in. Kind of like when you realize that big white beard on Santa has a string keeping it from falling off his face. Sorry kids.

As to why MMO subscription profits are on the decline--it's simple: Most MMOs are clones. Each one brings little if any innovation to the market. There might change the setting. The UI may vary. Even a new spotlighted feature can lure in players, but the endgame leads to the same spreadsheet formulas. Some people like chocolate ice cream. Others enjoy a crisp vanilla. Some even enjoy a classy butter pecan. In the end, Ice cream is still only one dessert choice of many. Why settle for a frozen dairy treat when cake is an easily developed alternative?

I'll discuss what I look for in an MMO, and what a Utopian MMO looks like from my perspective next time.

Open Mind

I will always believe that an open mind is far more worthy than an open heart. Love is not all you need, and if you think that, I truly despise you. Nothing can ever replace the logic, willpower, and creativity used to overcome problems and mend fences.

I am sick and fucking tired of you failures who love everything. Have some self respect and learn to fucking hate. I swear this youtube generation is a poison threatening to tolerate mediocrity on level of insanity. Fuck you. Fuck your happy go lucky lifestyle. Fuck your play-lists on your ipod, and fuck your favorite cereal. You deserve nothing but the emptiness you truly feel inside when you realize you have yet to find that which you truly must be to find fulfillment.

And no. I am not jealous. I am fed up. Every goddamn time I begin to think a like-minded individual has been cast my way to save me from this god awful loneliness you turn out to be fucking. retarded. Warped on a level that has made your surface shiny like glass and your insides the equivalent of a peeps marshmallow rabbit after three hours in the microwave. You lure others in with a perky attitude or a cold attention-seeking vibe, and when they start to finally act like them selves, you condemn for something you have no right to bitch about. So fuck you.

What good is your open heart when all the people who can truly make you happy, you cannot have because your mind is not free. Grow. The fuck. Up.

Thanks for reading! :)

America and the Drain Pt. 4.3: Freedom's Face

You (whoever fuckin' reads this) are in for a treat. Yeeaahh that's right. I'm posting not even a few days after my last post instead of months. Sweet deal. So lets get down to business. Right back to where we left off. Freedom.

Ahh, Freedom. That glorious word that when spoken, conjures an image of the western societies of L.A. and New York, over here in the U.S.A. That magical word that distracts the masses from how truly fucked their bastard country is. That simple and elegant word which is used in effort to be patriotic but ends up lobotomizing those within earshot. And this is only one a many words spelled with a capital letter and chauffeured to America like snails on a silver platter. Only rich folk in high society eat snails, and they taste like fat clown asshole. The real reason they eat the shit is because it makes them feel fancy. Much like the word Freedom (capitalized) makes Americans feel secure and in most cases, better than other countries.

As I've gone over before, the government limits the freedom of people. Whether it's choosing which drugs you need to get high, or choosing to marry a same-sex partner, government has it's fingers in your pudding. But it's not just the Man that limits your options when it comes to being free. With the power of logic we can see that almost any outside influence can limit choices, even choose for you.

Women are a large fraction of this outside influence, but to widen the perspective, we'll say 'the opposite sex'. But it's mostly women. Men go apeshit for pussy. 'Dick-whipped' is a myth, but 'pussy-whipped' is an everyday occurrence. Tail is just a carrot on a stick when it comes to relationships. Don't get me wrong, finding that life partner can be a worthy life goal, but if you're getting caught up in that pussy haze and tangled in that "I-just-wanna-get-laid" web, it makes you give up a part of yourself just to fulfill an animal instinct.
Valentines day alone, is proof that women dangle themselves on a stick to score pack mules. While there is a lot pressure involved when it comes to performing and being romantic for both sexes, women definitely have the upper hand. Not showing up with a romantic gift or activity planned is a very bad idea, as most men will tell you.

Religion, too, ties people down, but at a more gap-filling price. Most people turn to religion for comfort of death or just for a way to put their soul and heart into one thing without looking the fool. Either way, there are a few too many rules and taboos involved with religion. Everything from promise rings and sobriety to eating no pork and wearing traditional apparel. People seem to find quite a bit of assurance in ritualistic behaviors, which is why, I guess, so many people get caught up in the mundane. The point is, if you're willing to let an imaginary god figure tell you indirectly what you can and can't do, don't fucking fight for that figurehead of Freedom. It's borderline hypocritical. Again, making this kind of life decision in based on the opinion that what you're getting is worth what you're trading. This is also proof that the wondrous concept of Freedom isn't always on the top of the list of need-to-haves for quite a few people.

Ultimately, Freedom must be defined. Though many might see it differently, I see Freedom as the ability to choose, even if your options are limited and despite the fact that choice is only an illusion. Also, without a governing body, you wouldn't really have to make a lot of big choices. So it can be said that government of any form drags the whole Freedom concept around with it like rusted tin cans tied to the bumper of a marriage buggy. My father when prompted with this question pointed out that it took a whole goddamn Bill of Rights to define individual Freedoms, and a whole goddamn Constitution to define our rights as a nation individual from Britain. It just goes to show you, over hundreds of years we've tried to catalog humankind's limitations in the form of what we think we deserve from other people.
In truth Freedom can only be granted through self-realization. We all have to be open minded and allow the daily bullshit to pass through us. We must learn to identify when someone else, or yes, even your own beliefs begin to impede the progress to Freedom. Its sounds vaguely hippie, but it's true. The only way to true Freedom is self reliance, stubbornness, and a little ignorance. Groovy dudes, hug a rainbow.

America and the Drain Pt. 4.2: Freedom? It's a Relative Thing.

As I've discussed before, Freedom as defined by the U.S. government, can be proven over and over, to be false. It is simply a word the system has adopted to use as chaff against our missiles of logic. Much like an antagonized chimpanzee might fling leaves and dirt at an opponent to keep him distracted or blinded, even appear more intimidating. It is a fact, in my eyes, that the government opposes the masses, rather than actually seek out the greater good for them as a people.
Whether or not the big man is truly hostile towards the common man,(which proof can be provided to show), is not today's business. Yes today's business is in parallel to my previous post about gay rights. The big question here is: Is America a truly free country? The answer? Ehh...It's a relative thing.

Most of the yes and no bullshit we encounter during this argument can be filed under one of four categories, though most of them will overlap considerably. Misinformation, prejudice, hypocrisy, and greed. The four cornerstones of any establishment that sees itself above the common people. And now, without further ado, I present to you, a pocketful of examples.

The War On Drugs: Not only is this phrase an impossibility, but also a farce. It was and remains today a phrase coined by the presidency to make it appear more legitimate in aggressive policies. It is the brother to 'The War on Terrorism', yet another idiotic phrase used to deter assholes who bring logic into the situation. Logically, it works against the publishers. Any place you revoke the main means of recreation, namely drugs, the people will invent other ways to have fun, and in this case, get their fix. In a brilliant stroke of irony, without the drugs, people can actually USE their brains to invent better ways to get high. During prohibition, there was a man who actually invented an engine that ran on alcohol. Many will attribute this to a leading cause of the end of prohibition, but it makes sense. "Well, I have this liquor lying around and I can't drink it. Fuck, what happens if I pour it into my Jalopy?"
In all seriousness, most people who oppose drugs have either never tried them (properly), or they believe that drugs do so much harm to your body that they're not even worth trying in the first place. Simple misinformation. The prejudice lies in thinking that only certain stereotypes of people take certain drugs, and while this may actually be true, they have no right to believe it after trying to force diversity onto college brochures and fill offices with diversity requirements. The hypocrisy, and the best part of this baffling and quizzical issue in my opinion, is that plenty of higher ups have been caught red handed abusing drugs. Drugs such as Oxycontin, which you can get for the fraction of the price the yuppies addicted to them pay for them, over the counter. Studies have emerged over the past several years, showing an increase in certain drug use among the wealthy, as opposed to certain drug use among the poor. And finally, the greed in this subject lies easily spotted among legalization. Every pothead can tell you that one of the truest reasons that government cannot legalize marijuana is that they can't put a tax on it. It holds water. We all know how closely snuggled the drug companies and government are. Fuck, they even invented a cure for cancer in the 1930s, and the corrupted medical associations covered it up. They wanted to treat cancer, not cure it. Extortion through a third party.

Now, I bring drugs up in particular because I have a comparable example to America's level of freedom. Why can't any FREE citizen of this FREE country be FREE to choose which drugs they put into their body. Government is even cracking down on private farmers because they believe that the raw milk is harmful (which it isn't). Plus, you eventually get a whole lot less people to deal with if folks are overdosing left and right. It would be a wonderful way to test who has the genes to pass on to the next generation. Eventually if everyone was doing drugs, their children would become immune to getting high, and we would simply step out of the era like a pair of loafers with dog shit on them.
In several countries throughout Europe, there are drug bars. That's right; places where you can go to get your rocks off. Nearly everything is legal there. But it doesn't end with a deal, no. After purchasing drugs, you have to sit and smoke that joint or live out your heroin trip right there in the bar. They actually take responsibility for the people they deal to. Whereas we here in America let drunkards walk right out of bars, keys in hand, and then wonder why drunk driver mortality rates get higher each year.

Personally I think there would be a lot less need for drugs if government would shut the fuck up. Leaving someone alone in a room with a ton of heroin just means that they'll eventually get bored of heroin. So, bottom line. Is America, in the context of drug use and bodily choices, free? No. Is it free in the overall sense of personal choices and agendas? We'll find out in part three.

Honeysuckle

The memories that last,
Where the asphalt turns to grass.
The wafting scent of gold,
Where the recess balls were rolled.
Here are tastes forever known,
Where friendship was at once sown.
And love was first traded,
Where heartbreak soon invaded.
Unintended pain struck,
Where we exercised poor luck.
Friendships have since drifted,
Though experience was gifted.
Love will be rebounded,
Through others better grounded.
And stitches were a story,
Though at the time it was gory.
Now drifting past a bush,
I smell the golden push.
The bush of little treats,
Of honey oh so sweet.
It still evokes a chuckle,
That glowing Honeysuckle.

Struggle Pt.2: He who Struggles

In each story there is a man who struggles valiantly. Against odds that he turns to his favor. He fights for love, lost or yet to be gained; sometimes to be rejoined with. He fights for glory, namesake, or honor. He fights for allies. He fights for a people or person. Perhaps even a nation. He fights for a goal that was, at the beginning of his endeavor, impossible.

Sometimes he does battle with his obstacles. Other times, he sets his wits against them. He falls, but rarely fails to return to his feet. He learns and grows. He gains control over that which he must do. He rallies his allies with ease. He treads his path alone.

He maintains his humanity in the end, though it may flounder from his grasp. He allows the foundations of his faith to be shaken but never crumbled. He questions himself always, but find balance in rewriting his morals. He finds courage in the strangest times.

Wherever his path takes him, he stands ready to crush his adversaries, be them external or internal. He not only carries the flag in hand, but also in heart. He tastes victory and does not turn his back to it. He makes the sacrifices he must, but does not cross the lines he drew in his soul.

This man of greatness. Of pure human quality goes by one true name, though many call him by several. He is not a martyr. He is not an idol. He is not a protagonist. He is not a saint, nor star, nor god. He is a hero.

Struggle

There are legends. Tales. Epics, stories, poems. Histories. All of them share a universal theme, whether in the subject or the composition. They are about man. The struggle of man. Man fights wars. For love, for honor, for power. Man explores. He seeks both secrets and truth. He searches for treasures, for completion, for answers. Man finds himself in the least likely of places. Man finds greatness.

There are unthinkable numbers of such stories. All of them about struggle. It is irrefutable proof that man, in his infinite wisdom, while searching for whatever it is that can fill the hole in his heart, must struggle.

What is struggle? It takes many forms, all parallel to each other. Externally, a man battles with disease, and inability, or an opponent. Internally, a man is faced with any possible number of things that he can only see glimpses of in the external. Man is constantly at war with himself. He loves and hates. He desires that which he cannot or does not have. He finds himself in contempt of himself. HE finds himself in contempt of others. Often a man struggles with what he believes. An internal or external struggle often begets the other.

In its many forms a struggle can be misinterpreted as suffering. Suffering is noted as needless or unnecessary. Ironically, 'needless' suffering can harden the resolve of a man to endure much worse of a struggle. Therefore, it can be said that suffering a struggle is never without purpose.

Collision Course

Am I the only one who sees this tidal wave crashing down overhead?
How is it humanly possible that the remaining few intelligent Americans have not lead us into revolution at this point?
Life may be shit wall to wall, but this is absolute insanity. Politicians being accused left and right of sexual scandals, although their finances and questionable methods remain untouched? Children arrested over drawing guns, and yet the weapons themselves aren't outlawed? Teachers going insane under pressure, but schools still falling short of proper funding? Four hundred pound people fighting over syrup in public restaurants and not being punished? Gas prices soaring over unrest in the middle east when we not less than five years ago invaded an innocent country to push our own indulgences back to ourselves? Tolerance of overzealous shit-caked madmen and not of American citizens who demand equality?

What has become of us? What has man ever done to deserve his existence?

We are an unquenchable flame. Out of control altogether. A virus. A disease with no cure. Insatiable gluttons for every great sin committed by our forefathers and their forefathers. And the people don't stand together and put a stop to the animals in control?

Where is this oh so merciful God that millions call their savior? Where is the enlightenment built into the genetic code of every human soul? Where is the creator of this corrupt race, that he cannot save us from ourselves? Where, oh dear merciful earth, where, can we turn?

Fuck you humanity. I am both proud and ashamed to be of your number. Mostly ashamed, but proud that I have this mortal vessel from which to watch and overturn your insanity. You shall be destroyed in blood and fire and the true soul of man will reign over you in both heaven and hell, whichever he chooses to pursue in life. Perhaps if you are careless enough in your greed to overlook the few who can save you, you may yet be saved.

Hope for filling the hole in your heart is all but extinguished. Your pride is merely Arrogance masked in your own self-absorption. Any sense of progress you witness is only the world moving under you, not the other way around. So fail. Fail in your ultimate purpose humanity. I will laugh as you fall and fester. I will stand over the tops of your broken castles and raise the worthy to rebuild in God's true image.

2011

So while the past year was interesting -I guess you could say it was filled with good times-but while it was interesting, I believe that this year will be my personal ramp upward into whatever it is I'm supposed to do. This may sound cheesy, but with the risk of sounding perhaps more cheesy I will say, I can feel it.

Anyways, Christmas and Thanksgiving passed over with a few pounds added. Otherwise, the turning of the new year seemed uneventful. Now, every way I turn to find news, I see only the further deterioration of mankind...Not to say that the Chinese couldn't do any better than the good old US of A, but through art, I have seen what mankind truly is meant for, and we are definitely going in the wrong direction.
As far as this whole Obama birth certificate thing goes, its seems this generation has bitten off more than it can chew in electing him. I haven't a clue why he could have been elected with such a strong Muslim background, but just the fact that there was any issue at all with his background checks should disqualify him. This country needs to stop fucking around when it comes to leadership.

So alongside this rampant growth of 'unforeseen problems' comes a much more dire situation. Where are we as a people? I would think we could unite towards a common goal by now, but we are still bordered by the limitations of nationality. I don't believe any more that the day I need to see to be complete, will come in my lifetime. I gave that dream up a long time ago. When finally the end falls on mankind and he sees his twisted visage reflected in the great sea of death, he will wish the same thing that I am wishing now. I wish that we would get over ourselves. What we truly and utterly need to move forward as a people at this point in time, is a unity unmarred by nationality, and a common goal to strive for. As pointed out by many a great sci-fi series, the stars are a candidate for mankind's next step into immortality. But we are not ready neither in maturity or in technology to achieve this step. As it appears now, we are doomed to die in wars between ourselves.

This is a very strange perspective to write, because I see it in relation to other perspectives on life. I fully understand the completeness of the characters we see in the strangest of places. I can fully empathize the love of the underground night club life. I can fully feel the sense of peace one finds ultimately from being a busybody day and night. I can see the ultimate joy of personal sacrifice, and even the secret happiness of those who suffer. But it is not my true perspective. I must be truly great in spirit if I can understand these, but refuse them for a life of suffering at the hands of my own observations.

There is a very odd observation I recently made while writing at two in the morning. That is that mankind is obsessed with his own struggle. Every story is about struggle. Every history is about struggle. Man struggles with everything. Even in peace, man struggles to keep it. While mankind struggles to overcome the boundaries he himself has set upon the world, each individual must overcome a series of their own struggles. While China struggles to dominate world economics, a heroic addict is struggling to go three weeks straight without his fix.

But a struggle is satisfying. Sometimes in the moment of struggle, sometimes in the moment of victory, sometimes in the moment looking back on it. Any way you look at it, a person will be stronger after a struggle because it is self fulfilling to triumph. And now, in light of that same universal perspective, we must know. Mankind must struggle, or be consumed by it.

Oh WOW a whole month...

Hey fuck you, I get bored easy.

So yeah, uhhhh. cataclysm came out. Maybe I should go over that a bit, but I was also thinking about some other stuff. What Obama's been up to lately, namely. Oh and that damned third horseman of the apocalypse, Pestilence has been popping up going by his new name 'Holidays'. And what the fuck? This just in: I think I'm being a little cynical as of late. Hey, whatcha gonna do?

So. Cataclysm. Love/Hate. Same old same old. Stereotypical stable-server expansion release. All shine, no shit. Give it a go. The experience is solid. But hey, still a TON of people trying to do it all at once. Good luck leveling a crafting profession. Can drive a man to drinkin'.

Right. Obama. My good buddy El Presidente. Fuckin' nutter. Smart guy, dashing too. Complete nutter. I don't have the energy to do any research or outlining so you'll have to take this one on faith. It seems to me...that this guy, is a little too comfortable in his big chair to realize that it's being held up not by polished wooden legs, but by the masses of laborers still clinging to his 'HOPE' campaign posters. Sad when one realizes that what is likely to be the most important job position in the known world, could be run by any man from the working class with an IQ over 100. These private school bitches have got to stop running for office. Hey, woah. Hey, woah. Didn't I go to private school? Oh yeah, until I was given the choice to LEAVE. Good God, am I glad I left.

The Holidays. That delightful little Euphemism that leaves the kind-hearted gasping for air, as their heart size grows and their lung space diminishes. As for the rest of us cynical bastards,we,-again, euphemism-heart-no-oxygen,-appointed 'scrooges', have already taken a squared stance and begun our meditational breathing, ready to spout fire onto whatever religious, traditional, or new-age bullshit our closest friends and family have to toss at us in desperate attempts to convert us to their 'festivities' and 'good spirit'. What fun. The mad dash for whatever enlightenment that people find in shopping has long since begun. Even with the first delicate droppings of that feathery fine dandruff-like substance I find myself in shock that there is still milk on the grocery store shelves and that I am blessed with the electricity to tap away at the keyboard. That is, until some light-headed malnourished waterhead teenager manages to swerve a little too close to the middle of the road and upon pulling back too hard in the other direction, slams into a single pole, and wipes out half the eastern seaboard.

I think the effects of late-night sleeplessness and the giddy feeling of sobriety have had a very persuasive part in this article, and without further ado, I will head off to dream of the vague things that dance through our minds this time of year. Faceless women and featureless hundred dollar bills, as it usually is. Grab a blanket, snuggle close to that special someone, and pray things don't get awkward. Until next time.

I had a cool idea for a film, but it came out half shorty story, half screen play. Bear with me on the odd format. I'm trying to produce a title that isn't lame.

MAY 6, 2046: NEWS BROADCAST -FDC LIVE- 0914 HOURS

"Hello there, I'm Tina Sampson with the international news at FDC, and we bring you live to the perimeter of a one Mr. Markus Tekim's Jordan estate, where the military forces of INTERPOL have surrounded the area. It seems we may see a direct confrontation brought about by the events concerning Mr. Tekim over the past two years. We're receiving comments from the Director in Chief now.

BOTTOM SCROLL: GREGORI HARSKI - DIRECTOR IN CHIEF, INTERPOL
"Mr. Tekim has for quite a while now lead us on a wild chase for whatever secrets he has locked beneath his mansion here in Jordan. He has evaded all attempts to reveal his project, although we have just received permission to do just that.
To recap: On December 6th, 2043, two commercial airliners and one INTERPOL helicopter were bombarded by heavily coded electronic signals, which disrupted many of the controls and readings in each aircraft. The two commercial jets landed safely. The helicopter crew was not so lucky, however they did evacuate safely.
On March 8th, 2044, Mr. Tekim admitted to having the technology capable of such a transmission, but that it would not happen again. He not only paid all expenses related to the incident, but also refused to reveal the nature of his private property or its purpose.
Having shown his project to be a possible threat, several INTERPOL agents were placed on active surveillance, within legal limits. Not two weeks after his statement, a large electronic and radioactive spike set off and overloaded INTERPOL surveillance instruments. Following the second incident, Mr. Tekim insisted that it was another accidental experiment, but his vehement opposition to both surveillance and INTERPOL involvement were considered motive enough to lash out at officers working well within the law. Again, Tekim paid all expenses generously, but did not offer any information about his actions or intentions.
On November 1st, Mr. Tekim disappeared entirely. Neither professional nor personal networks had any communication with him. There were large fluxes of security measures reported at three of his estates, most notably that in Jordan. The following day, Tekim released a recorded video statement that if he was not left in peace, he would be forced into hiding forever. He also had many statements that included thanks given to his readers and followers.
Strangely, Mr. Tekim was spotted only twelve days later in public-- at a local gas station, of all places. Reporters and paparazzi were there in minutes. His only statement was upon being asked whether he was working for the American government. "America is a dead country." He said, "No matter what I tell you, nobody will believe me anyways." The cashier at the station said Mr. Telkim bought only a '100 Grand' candy bar and a can of Pepsi. Since then, he has shut himself inside his Jordan mansion, near Karameh outside Amman.
Furthermore, upon reviewing financial records dating back to 2043, INTERPOL has reason to believe that Mr. Tekim is in fact building a machine of war. A few excerpts of his recent purchases are as follows:
- Twelve thousand gallons JP-6 fuel
- Two hundred twenty tons of carbon steel
- Forty thousand dollars worth of assorted advanced electronic parts and blueprints
- Shares and access to A.I. software being developed by Artificial Intelligence Labs International (AILI)
- Shares, software, and blueprints from Advanced Robotics SOMATECH
- Shares, hardware, and blueprints from several advanced weaponry companies such as SARO, SETARA, and GURGIN
- Access to over forty molding, shaping, and refining factories in over twelve countries

As you can see, Mr. Tekim is likely building a machine with an arsenal capable of destructive force. Therefore, INTERPOL, with the support of the U.N. and the permission of Jordans' fine government officials, will conduct a search and possible seizure of Mr. Tekim's properties.
Mr. Tekim, should you be watching, I urge you to turn yourself in and offer full cooperation. We do this only in protection of our beloved homelands, and for Jordan herself. Thank you."

"There you have it, directly from the Director in Chief himself. We'll be right back with more recent developments on the Tekim controversy. This is Tina Sampson reporting for FDC."

JORDAN: MARKUS TEKIM'S ESTATE
DARK ROOM -TV ILLUMINATES MARKUS AND FELIX
"Ha! I knew there'd be no mention of the good stuff I got my hands on, and I never bought shit from SETARA."
"Naturally, Markus, most of what you got was top secret."
"Yeah, well. I guess it's time to fire it up, Felix. Wipe what you can, torch the rest. You've got the protocol?"
"I do." SIGH. "Finally time to leave the womb."
"I wonder if they've caught on to Aroff yet."
"Possible but unlikely. I'll go get Matt."
"Hey, Felix. Thanks. I mean, really, thanks. For all of it."
"Heh. My pleasure I guess. One last secret project before I retire in hiding."
"Anything else you need?"
"Just watch yourself out there. I didn't do it just for you. Hell, watch my back if you can."
"Yup." SHAKE HANDS
"This won't be goodbye, I hope."
"You'll see me on TV every day if all goes according to plan. No, that is. It won't be goodbye."
FELIX EXITS

3 MONTHS EARLIER: THE MICK DOUGAN SHOW - A POPULAR EVENING TV TALK SHOW
"Welcome back folks. Tonight we have an esteemed guest. He teaches several history classes at the University of Cambridge, and he's just written a book about Markus Tekim's past dealings and political influence over the past decade. Please welcome, Mr. Harry Metress. "
APPLAUSE - HARRY ENTERS- SITS
"Thanks Mick, how's it been?"
"Wonderful, actually. How's life on campus?"
"Not as bad as most professors make it out to be, really. Kind of everyone's a busybody, but theres a killer bunch of restaurants around the school for visiting parents."
"Hah, as long as you're coping Harry. Tell us about your book."
"Well, this one is actually sort of an addendum on Tekim's series. It's almost a manual. I wrote it to outline his works as a whole, but to extrapolate on his theories a bit."
"So it's a summary with notes."
"I suppose, yeah. I've basically take each theory a step further and put it into historical context. He uses examples, I use simulations. There's a line, uh -a fine line, I should say- uh, between what he proposes and what is actually being done about it. Proposing what he did actually twisted the minds of world leaders a little bit already."
"So Harry, how about all this Tekim controversy. What are your views on recent events?"
"Um, Tekim is all about complete an utter change, but he can't do anything without a position of power. So while most theorize that he's starting a revolution or a war or something like that, I think he's taking steps to ensure himself a throne from which to work, so to speak. He's got a good head on his shoulders, so I don't think he can go too far without damaging his reputation."
"So you think he's about to overthrow someone, or do you think he's just working up the press?"
"I was honestly a big supporter of Tekim a few years back, and some of that sticks with me for sure. I believe that with the right combination of minds, we could pry his motives from all that he's published. I think what we would find is an overwhelming desire for radical change. We're talking governments, policies, technologies, social structure...He wants to unite the world."

America and the Drain Pt. 4.1: Freedom? Yeah, for straight people.

You may have noticed in reading this series a certain trend of pessimism, or hell I'll say it, hidden bitterness. Last segment, I ranted about the justice system of America. In this installment we'll be skimming over the topic of freedom. The hypnotic icon that we as a people use to justify our wrongs, to justify our existence, to justify our behavior, and to swing like a pendulum over the rest of the world as if they're going to get sleepier and sleepier. It is an idiotic campaign in America to assert that we are a free country, let alone the most free. Keep in mind this country's history of segregation, racial prejudice, sexual oppression, and slanderous political backgrounds. Lets dive in shall we?

I am about to write a paper on gay rights for school, and I thought what better place to outline my thoughts than here, in the safety of my own blog? If this country were really so free, why then, is it taking so fucking long to decide whether gays can marry or not? If its a FREE country, then they should be FREE to do as the please. So long as its not a threat to national security, what the fuck is wrong with it? I should stop myself here and say I do not agree with the gay lifestyle. It gets tangled worse and worse every day now due to so many mixed feelings and personal stories. I personally believe that it is a natural thing to be attracted to another person, even of the same sex. Alexander the Great had lovers both male and female. We ALL know how nature intended humans, or all creatures for that matter, are meant to be paired off. I didn't choose to be attracted to women, its natural, just as it is natural for anyone else to be attracted to whom they are. Bottom line: Gay is a term for love between people who are created from the same dust, who breathe the same air, who possess the same faculties, and who make the same daily grind as the rest of us, but do not love a person who enables reproduction between the two of them. Same sex love. I know where a dick (or vagina) is supposed to go by law of reproduction, but we all know where it CAN go by law of natural attraction. Some people fuck dolls. Some people fuck toys. Nearly everyone on the planet has fucked themselves. It's not as nature intended, but it is natural. See the idea?
Now, the political issue in this matter lies with religion. Ahh yes, good old God. Here is where the tragedy of the human race lies, but we can save that issue for another time. The old fucks who run the place, uhh, senators and the president that is, believe that this country must be run by mandate of the laws laid down by their God, but they only half-ass it. For some reason many of the ten commandments are not in any way associated with laws. What happened to Honor thy Father and Mother? What about keeping the sabbath holy? What the fuck did they do with using the Lord's name in vain? And yet the oh so holy union between man and woman, which by the way is NOT a commandment, rather a teaching, is being enforced? What? Did we miss something? Are they really playing a card they don't really have? It's as if scribbled an 'A' on four corners of a business card and said it was a fifth ace.
If this is a free country, what gives them the right to dictate who a person chooses to create a home with? I could use a hundred more arguments here, like the fact that more than half the couples who marry end up divorced or split. As for this recent 'Don't ask, don't tell' policy debate, I have one thing to say. Who cares? What gay man or woman in their right mind brags about it to straight people in the military? Oh sure, provoke a creature that is already so hormone driven to be violent that you get laid more than him or her because you don't have sex with the opposite gender. Real smart. Honestly though, why is this still an issue? Anyone can recognize a gay person by going up to them in a bar and asking them if they're interested in a drink or a relationship. If the answer is 'I'm not interested.' or 'I'm gay.' the result is EXACTLY THE SAME. Why, would in the military, this case be any different (aside from the hate crimes committed against gays)? 'Oh well what if a gay person comes onto me, Matt?' Well, then you tellem you're not Gay. You should be flattered. HURR DURR. PROBLEM SOLVED.

Most of these issues are purely halted by a few stupid peoples' opinions. I still have no idea why we don't all vote as a people on one topic, rather than let a bunch of codgy old draft dodgers do the deciding for us. All in all, gays deserve their freedom as much as the rest of us cholesterol-packed, God-obsessed, money-lusting, hateful, prejudiced, sacks of shit. So why wait? Legalize gay marriage. Legalize gay adoptions. Legalize freedom.

Pt 4.2: Freedom? It's a Relative Thing. Coming soon.
